LEAN GREEN PROTEIN BARS

VEGAN, PALEO, GLUTEN-FREE

Meet the latest deliciousness we created at the Your Superfoods office: these lean green protein bars are a perfect quick, healthy, easy and delicious snack for busy people who like to work out – or just for anybody who loves healthy snacks. The combination of complex carbs and healthy omega-3 fatty acids make them the most nutritious muscle food we can think of.

These bars are made with our Skinny Protein Mix which is a unique mix of both Pea and Hemp Protein, combined with our raw, organic superfoods Alfaalfa, Moringa and Spirulina. The mix contains over 60% plant based protein and is a 'lean' protein because it's very low in carbs. The combination of pea and hemp protein makes it have a complete amino acid profile and supports the bones, muscles and nervous system, digestive enzymes and protects cells from oxidative stress.

Additionally, we added our Power Matcha Mix.The mix provides you with your daily portion of greens, long-lasting energy and antioxidant boost!

With this recipe you can get really creative and use the ingredients you love most! We used about 100g of dry ingredients consisting our mixes of nuts, seeds, dried fruit and a gluten free flour. 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 60g Skinny Protein Mix
  • 10g Power Matcha Mix
  • 5 small dates
  • 1 banana
  • 1 hand full buckwheat flakes
  • 1 hand full puffed quinoa
  • 2 tbsp. goji berries
  • 2 tbsp. shredded coconut
  • 2 tbsp. mullberries
  • 1 tbsp. hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp. roughly chopped cashews
  • 1 tbsp. roughly chopped walnuts
  • 1 tbsp. flax seeds
  • 1 tbsp. maple syrup

    DIRECTIONS:

    • Stir all dry ingredients in a bowl until you have an even mixture
    • In a blender, blend bananas and dates
    • Stir the wet paste with the dry ingredients with a fork
    • Pour the batter on a baking sheet 
    • Bake on 150 C for 15-20 minutes
    • Enjoy!
