Chia seeds are eeeverywhere these days! These little powerhouses are not only super healthy and packed with valuable proteins, minerals, trace elements, antioxidants, fiber and omega 3 fatty acids, but also really versatile.

HOW TO USE CHIA SEEDS

 

1. IN HEALTHY JAM

INGREDIENTS:

DIRECTIONS:

  • Mash the raspberries with a fork and add the Forever Beautiful Mix, the chia seeds and maple syrup.
  • Combine well and let sit in the fridge for a couple of hours, so the seeds can soak up the liquids.
  • Enjoy!

2. FOR CHIA PUDDING:

INGREDIENTS:

TOPPINGS:

  • blueberries
  • almonds

DIRECTIONS:

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir well.
  • Let sit in the fridge for about 1 hour.
  • Stir again and add some liquid if needed.
  • Leave in the fridge over night and add the toppings before serving.
  • Enjoy!

3. IN GRANOLA BARS:



INGREDIENTS:
  • 10g Muscle Power Mix
  • 1 cup (gluten-free) oatflour
  • 1 cup oats 
  • 1 cup dates 
  • 1 cup coconutmilk (or almond milk) 
  • 1/2 cup popped amaranth 
  • 12 tablespoons water 
  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 4 teaspoons coconut oil 
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon 
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla 
  • 1 handful raisins 
  • 1 handful sunflower seeds

DIRECTIONS:

  • Preheat the oven to 390°F. 
  • Combine the chia seeds and water and let sit on the counter until you're left with a gel-like consistency.
  • Combine the oatflour, dates, coconut milk and coconut oil and blend in your foodprocessor. 
  • Add in the oats, amaranth, raisins, sunflower seeds, chia-gel, Muscle Power Mix, cinnamon and vanilla and mix with a spoon.
  • Spread the batter on a lined baking tray evenly.
  • Top with more sunflower seeds.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown and let cool completely before cutting into bars.
  • Enjoy!
